Sami culture at reindeer farm

Visit a Sami reindeer herding family and home farm next to the biggest national park in Finland Lemmenjoki National Park. Mother of the family is a felt artisan and a Sami craft master. At the felt maker’s studio you can see traditional Sami handicraft. You will learn about Sami culture and have a change to see traditional Sami clothing made by the mother of the family.

You will also visit the reindeer at the home farm and feed them. Your host will tell you more bout the tradition of reindeer herding in past and today. Home farm stand on the bank of river Lemmenjoki and it is not hard to understand where the mother and the craft master gets her inspiration.
