Visit to Lemmenjoki & felt making course

You are welcome to visit the felt maker’s studio in an old Sámi setting on the bank of River Lemmenjoki. You will hear how felted items have been made of lamb wool for various purposes in the course of thousands of years. You will also see how the felt maker creates pictures of surrounding nature from wool fibres.

Furthermore, you will have opportunity to try felt making yourself! Price includes visit to the gallery, presentation on felting and rolling technique, making of small felted item, coffee with pastry.
